A word from, Mr. Doron Kempler, the Chairman of The Israeli Institute for Packaging and Design (IIPD)
We are proud to launch our state-of-the-art web site that will serve as an online database of packaging related content. Since the 21st century is characterized by frequent technological and marketing changes representing either opportunities or threats, many of us, especially in the Packaging Industry, recognize the importance of relevant and focused information as a significant asset to our business. Since the year 2005 we produce a monthly newsletter with relevant up-to-date professional content introducing to us new technologies, updated raw material prices and new regulations that occurred abroad. From now on we will be able to retrieve, with a click of the mouse, selected content geared to the specific needs of each one of us. Moreover, the web site will offer to our members, much richer content, including articles with new ideas and insights of experts in our industry. It will also serve as a source of information regarding coming events such as professional courses, the annual packaging contest (‘The Star of Israel'), important trade shows, and more. Please note that The Israeli Institute for Packaging and Design (IIPD) offers to its members tailor made research focused on the specific needs of a given member. I am taking advantage of this opportunity to let you know about other activities, such as the training center that provides courses in packaging, print and logistics. The center activities are collaborated with the Shenkar Design College, where 5th year students take an academic course in packaging. We also have reached an agreement with the management of one of the leading trade shows, the Emballage, which takes place every two years in Paris to exchange professional information on a regular basis.
